The majority of poor people in the world are children. Their lack of income and access to other resources means that they can't ensure the basics of life like food, good health, education and housing. The extent and severity of global poverty are directly linked to economic policies and activities that ignore children's right to a happy, healthy and secure childhood.
Save the Children is pushing for more investment in key services that benefit children, and we're conducting research on the impact of economic policies on children. We're also lobbying for changes in these policies, based on the results of our research and on our experience of working directly with children.
